Fun Zone ~ Welcome to the Fun Zone ~ The Guild is very proud of its members achievements and hard work. We love to celebrate them whenever possible, and hope that learning about their skills and discoveries might tempt you to dip your toes into a one-name study. We have created some fun activities for you to try – both to find out a little more about how our Guild members research, and to expand your own skills. You’ll see controls to help you move between parts of each activity. Here is what each control does: Enjoy Some Stories Dip into some of the many stories our members have collected. Some are romantic, some sad, some tell of bravery in war, others of crime and dark deeds. Will they inspire you to look at your ancestors lives? Get An Award Earn a certificate for your study by completing one of our challenges. Each shows you have carried out a specific type of research. Collect three icons as you progress towards the final certificate challenge. One-Naming for Families This is a fun thing for families or groups to do and you can get a certificate for completing it. Choose a surname that’s in your family and see how you get on. Genealogical Logic Puzzle If you enjoy logic puzzles, try our genealogical version. Can you work out which brother is which from the clues? One-namers don’t get clues quite like these, of course, but we do often have to solve puzzles and work out who was who. Want to learn more?
