Guild Blog Program Blogs

The Guild of One-Name Studies provides members the opportunity to publish their own blogs on our website. You are invited to visit and participate in our members’ blogs, shown in the lists below. There are three types of blogs:

  • Study Blogs: Any Guild member with a registered study may create a blog focused on that study. The content will vary dependent on the particular interests of the blogger but may contain points of interest about the surname being studied or those who hold the surname, more in-depth looks at aspects of the surname, images, exploration of themes such as the migration of those with the surname etc.
  • Member Blogs: Alternatively, any Guild member may choose to have a member blog where they can discuss whatever they wish regarding one-name studies, family or local history and related subjects. They do not have to have a registered study for this type of blog.
  • Postholder Blogs: Many Guild members volunteer for posts where they participate in running Guild activities. Postholders may choose to have a postholder blog where they can discuss topics of relevance to the post they hold. For example, Regional Representatives for different regions worldwide may discuss topics of interest to people in their region.
