Thomas Ignaitius Haggar – Died 8 Aug 1916 on the Somme, France.  Buried in Delville Wood Cemetery, Longueval, France.  Private, Service No 303732, 1st / 8th Battalion, The Kings (Liverpool Regiment).
Awarded Victory and 15 star medals.
His death is also recorded on the Roll of Honour at the Harris Museum in Preston.
Son of Joseph Richard and Alice Hagger of 16 Ellen Street, Preston, Lancashire (1911 census), at this time Thomas was living with his parents as a Card Tenter in the Card room in Cotton MIll.  He was born in 1895 in Preston.  His ancestry can be traced back to Richard born about 1720 who married Sarah Lavender at Therfield, Hertfordshire in 1745 and was Thomas Great Great Great Grandfather.
He had a cousin Thomas who also died in WW1, he died on 23 Mar 1918.
