Call for Volunteers for the Guild Stand at WDYTYA 2015 Posted 30 January 2015 by Departed MemberThis year Who Do You Think You Are? Live will be at the NEC in Birmingham from Thursday 16th – Saturday 18th April. Once again the Guild will be in attendance. This is a very popular event and last year we very successfully promoted the Guild and surnames in general. This was only possible with the help and support from happy and helpful members and volunteers. The Guild will be issued with some exhibitor passes and we will be able to offer a limited number of free admittances to the event to Guild members who are able to commit to 4 hours volunteering on the Guild Stand leaving the rest of the day free to visit other stands, or attend workshops etc. If you are attending and already have your admittance ticket and can offer even an hour or two on the Thursday, Friday, or Saturday it would be very much appreciated. This email is to assess the initial support; hopefully we will have enough passes to go around for everyone who wants to help and attend and will try our very best to accommodate everyone’s wishes, wherever possible. If you would like to help represent the Guild at WDYTYA and meetup with other members and the public please send me an email (stand-manager@guild-dev.org) providing your name, membership number with the day(s) & time(s) you can offer. There is currently no stand schedule, but one will be available in due course.
