14th Australasian Congress on Genealogy and Heraldry Posted 5 September 2014 by 26 March 2015 12:00 am - Guild contact: {host} Congress is the triennial Australasian conference run by AFFHO and it easily the biggest genealogy event on our calendar. The last one was in Adelaide (in 2012, and put on by SAGHS). This time it will be in Canberra and put on by HAGSOC, the Heraldry & Genealogy Society of Canberra. The opening of Congress will be held at the Great Hall of the Australian War Memorial. It should be a moving occasion as the centenary of the Gallipoli landings - Australia and New Zealand's first major campaign in World War One - will be commemorated there only six weeks later. A number of Guild members will be presenting papers during the conference, there will be a meeting of Guild members, and the Guild Stand will be in the Exhibition Hall. Return to Calendar
