DNA Discoveries for a ONS This 2 part article feature from the Guild Journal was a groundbreaking report on the use of Y-DNA for a One-Name Study. The Meates DNA Project was the 25th DNA Project started in the world, and the first project in the world to test all family trees for the registered surnames. To date, only one other project has tested all the family trees for the surname. The article provides a step by step guide to Y-DNA, structured recruiting and testing, and the discoveries that resulted. The following has changed since publication: Family Tree DNA now offer Y-DNA tests for 12, 25, 37, 67 and 111 markers.
