James Oliver Drake

James Oliver Drake was born in 1898 in Weymouth, Dorset, the older son of James and Blanche (formerly Oliver). James was a Private with the 1st Battalion of the King's Liverpool Regiment, and died 16 Apr 1918. Wilfred Haggar Born 1894 Conisborough, Yorkshire and died in 1916. He was 5ft 4 and three quarter inches tall, weighed 133lb and had a ‘good’ level of physical development with a pulse rate of 76 when he joined the army. Arthur Hagger – killed in action in Flanders, 30th June 1917.  Thiepval Memorial Manchester Rgt., 1st / 8th Battalion.  Rank Private, service number 351936, enlisted Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire. John Thomas Drake, the elder son of George Drake and Emily (formerly Jarvis) was born in 1895 at Great Warley, Essex, and he was the first of their two sons to die in this war.
